On this short version of the Panorama Trek you explore the national park and come through the home of the Tamang. We start our journey towards Dhunche, a large mountain village in the Langtang area.

We walk through villages, rhododendron, bamboo, oak and pine forests.

In the spring, when the rhododendron flowers blossom the forest looks magical. We follow the Langtang River through a narrow canyon until we arrive to a large alpine grasslands of Kyangin Gompa where the glacier meets the meadow. Surrounded by snow-capped peaks (eg Langtang Ri, Langtang Lirung, Dorjee Lakpa) we can see grazing yaks.

The area is also known as the "Valley of the glacier." The mountain scenery is spectacular here.
