Getting there

By plane

The only international airport in Nepal is the Kathmandu Tribhuvan Airport. But there are 2 other airports in planning.Today there is a wide selection of flights to Kathmandu.
It's recommended to confirm your flight 3 days before your departure.

By road

For the more adventurous with plenty of time, the overland route is an exciting option. Via "big" roads Kathmandu is connected with the popular destinations Pokhara, Chitwan and Lumbini - and there are border stations to India in Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Kakarvitta, Nepalgunj and Mahendranagar and a border crossing to China via Kodoari.

Please note that overland tourists entering Nepal with their vehicles must possess an international carnet or complete customs formalities.
