Manaslu Base camp Trek itinerary

  • Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu

    Our still will come to pick you up at airport and transfer to the Hotel.

    • Day 2 Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola 720 m

      We leave Kathmandu and drive towards Dhading Besi - Gorkha Bazar - Arughat down into the Trisuli valley, passing villages and terraced fields. If the weather is good we have excellent views of Ganesh, Manaslu, Langtang and Annapurna.

    • Day 3 Soti Khola to Machha Khola 930 m

      On the way to Machha Khola there is a high suspension bridge to cross and we have the opportunity to have an insight look to the lives of the local people in this area. Machha Khola stands in Nepali for "Fish River"

    • Day 4 Machhakhola to Jagat 1410 m

      Before crossing the Thado Khola, we walk up and down. The path after Khorlabesi takes us through a rocky gorge, and then we reach the small hot spring in Tatopani (hot water). We walk a ridge high above the Budhi Gandaki and cross it via a suspension bridge after the bridge the way goes more uphills but its not that tough.

    • Day 5 Jagat to Deng 2360 m

      We will go into the region of the Tamang, the followers of the Tibetan Buddhism. On the way, we pass through a forest with eye-catching views and the valley getting narrower the closer we come to Ekle Bhatti. We walk up over an impressive gorge, passing pine trees and follow the trail to Ghap. We cross the Budhi Gandaki and enter a narrowing ravine. After a suspension bridge and a beautiful bamboo forest we reach the village of Deng.

    • Day 6 Deng to Namrung 2630 m

      After crossing the bridge of Deng, we walk through a beautiful pine forest and then arrive in Bihi Phedi, where we see the Kutang Himal, Mani walls, chortens, etc. Our trail takes us two more times over the Budhi Gandaki and meanders through the beautiful countryside with stunning views. Finally we reach the beautiful small village of Namrung.

    • Day 7 Namrung to Syala 3510 m

      Along the way we have stunning mountain views. The path brings us through pastures and prehistoric village Lihi. After we left the glacier Lidanda behind us, we reach the Tibetan village Sho. On the way we have excellent view of the Ngadi Chuli and Manaslu. The village Lho awaits us with its many prayer flags and its gompa. After having a short rest in Lho Gumba we leads towards syala from where we see the Manslu very closed with other beautiful mountain view around.

    • Day 8-9 Shyala to Samagaun 3525 m

      The way Continue to Pung Gyan Gompa, passing fields and finally we arrive in the legendary valley of Sama with their 500-year-old village of Sama Gaon. In the afternoon we will have time to visit the old Gompa above the village or just exploring the fascinating village. This is really short walk so there is also opportunity to visit on Pungyan Gompa or Birendra Lake on same day on the interest of the trekkers. We have also rest day in Samagaun to visit the Manaslu base camp, On rest day early in the morning we take breakfast and packed our lunch leave our bag pack in hotel and we leads towards Manaslu Base Camp where we will have the stunning view of Mountains, Lakes and Beautiful valley with the village.

    • Day 10 Samagaun to Samdo 3850 m

      We leave Sama Gaun and hike through long Mani walls and chortens and walking again down to the Budi Gandaki River and finally arrive in Samdo inhabited by Tibetans. Samdo was in previous years, a trading center of China and India. Today the residents keep herds of yaks, sheep and goats, train their horses and planting barley.

    • Day 11 Samdo to Dharamsala High Camp 4460 m

      The trail continues along the ancient trade route to Tibet. We cross a bridge and then we go up and through the market of Larky Bazaar. After about 3 hours we pass the glacier with an impressive view and finally we reach the camp from Dharamsala, the high camp for the Larkya La Pass, which is surrounded by mountains and awarded with a panoramic view. It is also the area of Blue Sheep that graze in the more barren hills.

    • Day 12 Dharmasala to Larkya La 5106 m and Bimthang 3710 m

      The trail takes us north of the Larkya glacier from where we have a view of Cho Danda and Larkya Peak. After approximately four hours hiking, we reach the Larkya La Pass 5,106m, from here we can have a magnificent view of the Himlung Himal 7'126 m, Cheo Himal 6'820 m, Gyagi Kung Kang Kuru 6'981 m and the Annapurna II 7'937 m. After the pass, it goes slowly on a moraine ridge down until we get to Bimthang.

    • Day 13 Bimthang to Tilje 2300 m

      It continues down along figs trees and bloominhg of rhododendrons and Wild flowers through a stony river bed and small villages. We finally arrive in Tilje, from where we can see a sign board for the Annapurna Circuit.

    • Day 14 Tilje To Dharapani 1860 m

      The walk takes us through the valley of Dudh khola and bamboo forests down to the Tibetan village Dharapani, passing prayer flags at the Gompa Thongje and take on the old Annapurna Trail. Dharapani is a bus station and a small city so, we feel relaxed and feel different life from about two weeks of mountain life.

    • Day 15 Dharapani to Kathmandu via Besisahar 760 m

      We take a jeep till Besisahar and from Besisahar to Kathmandu we can take a local bus or a private jeep depends upon the trekkers choice.

    • Day 16 Shoping and rest day in Kathmandu

      Aer a long days trek in mountain Its time to rest visit around and buy a gift for the beloved. 

      • Day 16 Departure

        Today is the day to say goodbye. Thank you for the wonderful time together. Have a safe journey home and maybe until next time.
