About Trip

Pikey Danda is one of the highest hills of Solu, enjoy the sunset or sunrise to the Himalayan Range, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Number, Shishapangma, Mera Peak, Thamserku, and many more. The name Pikey is derived from the name of a Sherpa clan deity. During the month of July, the locals hold celebrations to worship their clan god, the eastern Chyabo Pikey Hlapchen Karibu.

Thupten Choling Monastery: One of the biggest Monasteries in Nepal with more than 1’000 monks and nuns of Tibetan origin and mainly Tibetan refugees are under the care of Trulshik Rinpoche, is one of many monasteries we are able to visit on the way. You also have the opportunity to make meditation.

This trek can be combined with the Dudhkunda Monastery Trek.
